Lawn Aerator
By Steven Wishaw
Air is vital to health root expansion that will in turn make your lawn healthy and green. More air and water means healthy roots, which translate into a green and beautiful lawn. Aerating also stop soil compaction which happen often in areas with high human traffic. Here is an easy test that you can do to work out if your lawn need aeration. Find a slim object with a pointy end like a screwdriver and probe the pointy end into your lawn where the soil is tolerably moist. Push the tines into the soil as far as you can and rock them forwards and backwards. This strategy is appropriate for a small lawn or a tiny area in a large lawn. A barely better solution is to spend some money and purchase a sod-coring tool. This could removes cores of soil and deposits them on the lawn. These cores of soil will bring microorganism to the surface and help rot any thatch that will have developed in your lawn. This technique is also acceptable for little size lawn only. Even though this lawn problem isn't as frightening as lawn expansion, compaction happens when the soil is deprived of oxygen due to improper aeration. This could proscribe plants and grass from growing in the area. This essentially means that you are going to have to stab holes into your lawn intermittently in order for it to gasp. You can aerate your lawn in some techniques : You must guarantee that you remove all the thatch and other waste from the lawn before aerating. Rent a Lawn Aerator This handy device will help if you have serious thatch and can't remove it. This may be a good option if you have just moved into the home and need to begin growing new grass and other plants. Beginning with a clean slate will always help to incentivize you and the lawn. |
